About Us

Three Dollar Bill Reviews is the creation of site owner, Emily. After co-owning and reviewing for a popular book review site as well as on a personal blog, she decided to expand her focus to something a little different. Three Dollar Bill Reviews came out of a hope to provide honest and thorough reviews of the entire genre of GLBTQ literature.  After sharing the idea with reviewer Kassa, the new site was born.

Three Dollar Bill Reviews strives to offer a wide range of reviews for books within the GLBTQ genre. This may include fiction, non-fiction, literature, erotica, horror, romance, poetry and more within the wide breadth of gay, lesbian, bisexual, transgender and all other queer categories. Our aim is to review books from well-known publishers as well as lesser-known or newer publishers.  The hope is that our reviews can help readers discover books they might not have otherwise been aware of while offering honest opinions on favorites and new releases.

Our reviews will be cross-posted to Amazon, Goodreads, and LibraryThing. With years of reviewing experience, our driving force is a love of books and reading.

Each book will be rated with the review on a 1 to 5 star scale, with 1 being the lowest and 5 the highest.  A 5 star review is an exceptional book, one that we consider to be part of the very best.  We provide honest and detailed reviews, but not every review will be 5 stars.  If we don’t like a book, we will say so but will be sure to provide detailed reasoning for our opinion.

Always keep in mind, a review is one person’s opinion and is not the final word on a book.  We welcome discussions about our reviews, but at all times comments should remain respectful to both the reviewer and other commenters.  We will not tolerate any attacks on the reviewer or commenters.
